If you plan to read only one thing on this website, we strongly suggest reading Heartbreak in the Heartland, about Percy Schmeiser, the farmer that Monsanto sued, provided here in several languages:

Mindfully.org note: We consider all genetic engineering—plant, animal, or pharmaceutical—unsafe. Humans are not capable of understanding the complexity of life at any meaningful level. Corporate genetic engineering is less than sophomoric--much like reaching into a giant high-voltage electrical junction box while blind folded and standing barefoot in a puddle of salt water. While the rest of the world destroys GMO crops in the fields, they cry out to the US to join them. But US citizens are kept in the dark by corporately-owned media which scrubs all news of relevant details. It was suggested to one over-worked environmentalist that she should "really, just get a good hobby and forget about all this trouble, and that it's no good for ones health to think about such awful news constantly." So..... here's a suggestion for a great hobby to take your mind off of this troubled world. Let's all do some nighttime gardening, and put on a happy face. It's high time we did just that, don't you think. So be creative, and have fun at the same time. :-)
